Carpenter’s Helper
Position Description: Carpenter’s Helper/Entry-Level Laborer
Department: Production
Reports To: Crew Foreman
Employment Type: Full-Time, 40-hours per week, Monday – Friday
Location: Tallahassee, FL
Position Summary
The Carpenter’s Helper assists the Crew Foreman and fellow crew members with a variety of tasks on the job site, supporting construction, framing, and finishing work. This is an entry-level role ideal for someone looking to build hands-on trade skills and gain experience toward becoming a skilled carpenter.
Key Responsibilities
– Assist crew with measuring, cutting, and installing materials
– Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment on-site
– Set up and break down work areas, including scaffolding and ladders as directed
– Keep the job site clean, organized, and free of debris and safety hazards
– Perform basic tasks such as sanding, nailing, sweeping, and hauling
– Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times
– Learn and apply proper use of hand tools and power tools under supervision
– Support other crew members and trades as needed
Required Qualifications
– No prior experience required; willingness to learn is essential
– Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting up to 100 lbs, standing, bending, and climbing
– Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
– Basic understanding of job site safety practices (or willingness to be trained)
– Reliable transportation to Decked Out headquarters in Tallahassee, Florida
– Ability to follow instructions and work well as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
– Prior experience with hand or power tools (personal projects, vocational training, etc.)
– OSHA 10 certification (or willingness to obtain)
– High school diploma or equivalent
Work Environment
– Outdoor/job site-based; exposure to weather, dust, and noise
– Frequent lifting, carrying, standing, and repetitive physical tasks
– May require early start times and occasional overtime
Compensation & Benefits
$15 to $25 per hour based on experience, overtime is 1.5x base pay

Crew Foreman
Position Description: Crew Foreman

Location: Tallahassee, FL
Position Summary
The Crew Foreman leads a crew of workers on-site, directing daily work activities to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to quality standards. This role bridges field labor and project management, translating plans and instructions from supervisors into hands-on execution. The Crew Foreman will be in constant contact with clients to ensure projects are completed as desired. Decked Out promises 100% client satisfaction, and the Crew Foreman is an integral part of this.
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate with clients before, during, and after construction projects to ensure client satisfaction
- Supervise and direct crew members’ daily tasks, ensuring work aligns with project plans and specifications
- Assign work, monitor productivity, and adjust crew workload as needed
- Enforce job site safety protocols and OSHA compliance; conduct daily safety briefings
- Inspect work in progress and completed work for quality and adherence to specs
- Coordinate material, tool, and equipment needs; track inventory and usage
- Communicate progress, delays, and issues to the Project Manager/Superintendent
- Train and mentor crew members, including new hires and apprentices
- Maintain accurate time records, daily logs, and incident reports
- Resolve on-site conflicts and address performance issues among crew members
- Coordinate with subcontractors, inspectors, and other trades on-site as needed
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools, machinery, and PPE
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in construction, landscaping, manufacturing or relevant trade, with prior lead or supervisory experience
- Strong working knowledge of trade practices, tools, and safety standards
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, or work orders
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Physical ability to perform manual labor and work outdoors in varying conditions
- Valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to pass FDLE Level 1 or 2 background check
- Commercial driver’s license
- OSHA 10/30 certification
- Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, Autodesk Construction Cloud
- Bilingual
Work Environment
- Primarily outdoor/job site-based; exposure to weather, noise, and physical demands
- Frequent standing, walking, lifting (up to 100 lbs.), and use of hand/power tools
- May require early start times and occasional overtime
Compensation & Benefits
$20 – $35 per hour based on experience, overtime is 1.5x base pay. Eligible for bonuses per project.

Position Summary
The Office Manager oversees the daily administrative and operational functions of the office, ensuring a well-organized, efficient, and welcoming workplace. This role serves as the central point of contact for clients, office operations, vendor relationships, and administrative support, enabling other teams to focus on their core work.
Key Responsibilities
– Manage day-to-day office operations, including supplies, equipment, and facilities upkeep
– Serve as primary liaison between sales and production, vendors, and subcontractors
– Oversee office budget, expense tracking, and invoice processing
– Coordinate production scheduling, client meetings, and assist leadership with business goals
– Support onboarding of new employees
– Manage building permitting functions to include filing notices, acquiring affidavits, and maintaining online permit portals
– Manage incoming/outgoing mail, deliveries, and front-desk functions
– Assist with HR-related administrative tasks (records, benefits coordination, filing)
– Plan and coordinate company events, meetings, and employee engagement activities
– Identify opportunities to improve office efficiency and reduce costs
Required Qualifications
– 3+ years of experience in office management, administration, or related role
– Strong organizational and multitasking skills
– Excellent written and verbal communication
– Proficiency with Microsoft Office / Google Workspace
– Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Preferred Qualifications
– Experience with budgeting and expense management tools
– Familiarity with QuickBooks software
– Prior experience supporting a team of employees
